Christmas Letter from our Principal

Yesterday morning I started my Christmas shopping. As usual I could only find some of the items on my list which meant that this was going to take longer than I had planned and I began to feel very frustrated and impatient. I decided to take a break and open a handful of Christmas cards which had just been delivered. This caused me to feel worse as I was no closer to writing my cards. Why am I telling you this? Because the first card I opened showed Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus and written across the bottom were the words “They shall call Him, Emmanuel” which means God is with us. As I reflected on the words I felt a great peace and I and my frustrations disappeared. I am so grateful to be Catholic and experience the joys of the Nativity. I realize that this is a busy, sometimes exciting, or frustrating time for all of us. I wish for all of us that adults and children alike, can capture the peace the season promises.

Merry Christmas to all of you and yours
Mary Barry
